Newborn Portrait Sessions
**WE ARE CURRENTLY TAKING A HIATUS ON NEWBORN SESSIONS EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2023**
You have waited and waited for your little miracle to arrive. They finally arrive, but those first few weeks of life go by in a blur. You will never have those beloved moments again, yet in the years to come it will be those very moments that you will try to relive. As parents of two ourselves, we know how important it is to treasure the little details you adore long after the your newborn has grown – the way they look so small in your arms or curl up perfectly in your neck, their tiny little toes, and that beautiful soft, wrinkly baby skin. Newborn portraits are a perfect way to capture all of the details of this special time so you can cherish them for years to come.
We know how hard it is to get out of the house with a new little one, so our sessions are shot in a natural, journalistic, “lifestyle” way in the comfort of your own home.
What exactly is lifestyle photography? It’s just how it sounds – we will capture how you style your life: Your baby’s nursery, clothes, blankets, and other details that make your life unique. The photos are usually candid and unposed and capture your new family in a natural way. We will use your surroundings and interactions to freeze these precious moments that pass so quickly.
We ask that you schedule your newborn session as early as possible due to our limited schedule. Usually with posed, studio sessions, newborns are required to be ten days old or less, but with our lifestyle sessions, we can photograph your newborn when you feel most comfortable having us come to your home. Just don’t wait too long after baby arrives because they grow and change so fast! We recommend scheduling a session within four weeks of your due date, but keep in mind that the first 10 days are when babies are at the stage when newborn photos are most ideal.
Your newborn session is $375 and includes the following:
- 2 hours of shooting time in the comfort of your own home
- Image retouching on all final photos
- 50+ final images
- Full-resolution digital downloads with personal print release
- All images returned in both color and black & white versions
- Private ordering gallery available for 3 months
- $25 print credit
*Please note - At this time, we are only scheduling newborn sessions for returning clients. To schedule a newborn session, you must have completed a previous mini or general session with us.
To book your newborn session, we require a $50 non-refundable deposit to hold your spot. While we know that babies birthdays are unpredictable, we do book based on your due date just to give us an idea of how many sessions we are able to handle around that timeframe. Your session date is not set in stone, but we do usually “pencil-in” a date after your due date. You would need to contact us after baby’s arrival to confirm the date and time. All newborn sessions do need to be booked in advance, so please don’t hesitate to contact us, even right after you find out you are expecting. We look forward to working with you!
